Everyone has that one dress, that one pair of jeans, that one hat...that one piece of clothing that no matter what you could wear it anywhere at any event and that definitely fits for this maxi. I can go grocery shopping in it, go to a wedding in it, go out to brunch, it is just so versatile which is why I love it so much!

Honestly when the Levi's Wedgie Jeans came out I could not understand who in the world would want to buy them. I tried on a pair when they first came out, laughed in the dressing room, and put them back. Of course, life is funny and not too long ago walked into a store, browsed around, and tried on a pair of jeans. Mind you, I had NO IDEA that they were wedgie jeans till I got home. I really wasn't reading the label, but man do they look good and feel great! Not at all like the ones I tried on a while back.

Thank you to the mother's who never stop spoiling their daughters! We love you! Coincidentally enough I received a wonderful package from my mother when I was on my way home early from work because I was sick. As I'm about to get to the apartment building I get a text saying I have a package. The minute I pulled this very pretty piece out of the box I knew I had to wear it asap and put it on here! Muumuu dresses have a very special place in my heart. They are just so darn comfortable so when I get my hands on a cute one, its staying...for-e-ver!!

The Texan summers are pretty brutal! Temperatures of over 100 degrees and so much humidity. The only way to survive is light, breathable clothing or less clothing overall! I really love that I found this awesome linen wrap dress from Nordstrom. Its light, airy, and helps me stand up to this crazy summer weather!

Summer is in full effect here and man is it hot! Even more than the heat is the humidity. But what I hate more than a hot, sticky day is wasting a beautiful afternoon inside. I thought with all the greenery around the city in bloom it was fitting to wear my currently favorite summer floral dress!

When it gets hot wear light fabrics, but when in Austin get a rad hat!

For a very long time I have been a sucker for polka dots. I'm not really sure what it is about them, but in my opinion you can put polka dots on just about any piece of clothing and it always looks good!

Though it doesn't really get cold here often, especially during this season. Once in a while a cold front comes through and you gotta reach into that coat closet, but what do you do when that cold front only lasts till around noon? Layers! Layers is always my answer. Who else is with me?

You all know I'm a sucker for neutral colors! Add a little leather and I'm obsessed. With the weather changing drastically from one season in the morning to another in the afternoon it's been a little bit of a struggle on picking outfits. I have definitely been dressing in layers a lot more often lately!

When its pretty outside and the weather is great you go to the park!

A lot has happened in a few months that I really needed to take a break from the blog for a moment! I got married (pictures to come soon), then we moved, and then I got a brand spanking new job. Three really big decisions happened in the span of 3 months! Crazy I know, but it worked out for the best and I am in love. I still have moments where I really miss my life back in DC, especially family and friends, but this really has been a great life decision for myself and husband.

I am not really done with the changes though. It is 2017 and I am definitely working on some other changes for the blog and my style too. Well maybe not too big a change in my style. The biggest change so far is that I chopped my hair off! That's right people I got a LOB and am going to work on the color in the next few weeks to come. For my style, I'm more so trying to downsize and be even more particular about the items I buy. We shall how this goes! Wish me luck.
