Who else is completely addicted to striped!? I probably have stripes in all my types of clothes from tops to shorts to dresses. I just can't help myself!
Thanks to the cooler weather it wasn't a bad day to wear sleeves!
With hot days and such high humidity levels its hard to know what to wear without feeling like you're going to die of heat exhaustion. I tend to stick to light colors and flowy fabrics usually with no sleeves if possible!

So far white has been a hot color, or absence of color to be exact, for the summer and I totally agree!
If you just want to be surrounded by history and nostalgia then Oldtown Alexandria is the perfect place for you to go. It is my go to when I want to see the cute shops and boutiques as well as the wonderfully cute architecture.
The weather was perfectly sunny with fluffy white clouds and had just enough breeze to make the day perfect.
There are days when you just lazily walk around till you get lost and that is exactly the day we had this weekend.

We walked from the Golden Triangle to Metro Center to Chinatown! It was a wonderful day to just get lost and figure out your next step while you went along.
During this summer I'm exploring the different ways I can wear shirt dresses. So when some friends and I got together to hang out by the pool I thought it was a perfect time to experiment!
Not sure how often this outfit will be seen outside of beach days and pool days but who knows!?
I am so grateful for this past weekend and how relaxed it was. Did some chores, ran some errands, but most importantly did NOTHING ELSE! For the most part we just hung around the house and went outside to walk around with the dogs. Sometimes you just need a good recharge!
