I hope everyone had a fun-filled and safe holiday weekend! I got to see one of my cousins graduate from the Naval Academy in Annapolis. It was a perfect day to graduate. The sun was out, but it wasn't too hot and who else can the Blue Angels flew over at their graduation!! It was a pretty awesome day with family and friends.

Not every day can be a super bright colored day. I still love my darker pieces of clothing especially when they are in the red and green family! One of my favorite darker colors is maroon or wine. I think it just looks so good on so many people.

With the weather staying mostly sunny and warm outside I was able to take my new flats out for a spin! I love getting to wear something new for the first time. Shoes can be a little iffy for me because you have to break them in before they don't hurt anymore. This pair was comfy from the get go which made me suspicious, but I walked around all day in them and not one blister.

The weather is slowly but surely becoming more Summer than Spring but hey that means I get to bust out these awesome high waisted shorts earlier than expected! I am 100% a shorts girl. I love dresses but in the Summer I like to run around and be weird and crazy. Dresses don't let you randomly climb up trees and get dirty; that's what shorts are for.

After a long week of traveling for work its nice to get an awesome weekend full of beautiful weather! For the first time since last year I thought it was warm enough for ice cream. Ok so some of you may have already thought its been warm enough for that but for the people like me who still get cold in 75 degree weather I beg to differ.
