Outdoor Music Concert

11:27:00 AM

This past weekend was super full of a lot of events! My favorite of course was going to see American Authors, The Script and of course One Republic in concert. I was super stoked and so happy to be there. Every single band did such an amazing job and oh my goodness One Republic has got to be the best band I've gone to see perform EVER! It did take me a minute to finally figure out what I was going to wear because the weather was doing all types of crazy predictions and then finally was like "THIS ONE"!!

Thanks to my amazing friend my hair looked awesome. I had failed miserably at trying to do that hearstyle the entire morning of the concert until she came over and helped me out. I swear I will master that style! What do you guys think? Win or Bleh??

Outdoor Concerts

2:02:00 PM

So I have a concert that I am going to soon and I am desperately overwhelmed with the outfit options that I may want to try. There are just so many options! I don't usually have issues with making a decision fast but when I have too many good options that is when my brain stops functioning and I go completely blank. So far though I think I have most of the pieces to at least come up with a coachella type outfit since it is hot which is good because at least I know I have items that I would definitely be happy wearing. This are some of the inspiration photos that I am looking at.

Sorry the photos are all different shapes and sizes but hey you get the idea! Hopefully I can come up with an idea ASAP! If you have any suggestions please comment below <3

Stop & Smell the Flowers

4:15:00 PM

So yeah the saying is actually stop and smell the roses, but there were no roses in sight so I changed it. Sometimes the weekend isn't for stuffing it with so many activities that you don't have time to just sit down and relax for two seconds. This Sunday I decided to keep my day basically as lazy as possible so that I could just have some time to myself and my doggies! Though in this heat I didn't spend much of that time outside like I wanted, but while I was out there I made sure to dress appropriately, because this humidity is no joke.

Sometimes the lazy days are the best ones of all!

How to Train Your Dragon 2

9:43:00 PM

OH EM GEE!!! I loved the first How to Train Your Dragons movie, but I really LOVED the sequel. I think I am going to have to buy the dvds as a set. I know what you are probably thinking and yes I am a child at heart. I love Disney/Pixar movies and anything cartoony/kid focused. Even if the critics say its a bad move or it becomes rated low on rottentomatoes.com I usually still end up thinking it was an awesome movie. I don't what to say except you will just have to love and accept me for all my childish ways =].

I most definitely could not resist taking a picture with Toothless and Hiccup! Have a great weekend guys!!

Giant Palazzo Pants!

12:04:00 PM

Happy Monday All!!! I hope everyone had a great weekend and all the Father's out there had an awesome Father's Day. I, of course, went home for the weekend to spend time with the family and my dad. We went around shopping, watching movies and eating out. It was a full and great weekend. I even got to finally wear my huge palazzo pants since they just got done being hemmed and its wasn't too hot out making it uncomfortable to wear. Can I just say how much I love these pants!!?? I LOVE THEM! They are so comfortable and they fit perfectly. I feel like I am wearing pajamas, which is the best feeling EVER!

I don't always love the area my parents live in, but the Newtown area with all the shops and cute brick architecture is one of my favorite places to hang around at. Come on who wouldn't love that fountain!!?

BY THE WAY...here is how my mom's and my tassel keychains turned out! Mine is the teal and my mom had the red.

DIY Tassel Keychain

3:10:00 PM

So I know that this upcoming weekend is Father's day and I am doing something nice for my Father, but its nothing DIY or fashion-y sooooo I am sharing with you something that my Mother and I plan to do this weekend on our spare -NON FATHER'S DAY- time. We are going to copy the tassel keychains that Coach used to have, but obviously I was never going to pay $20 for it.

These are examples of the Coach keychains that we will be emulating. My favorite ones are the yellow, red and darker blue. I like the thicker versions and I don't want them to be too long to be mistaken for a bag accessory.
Now here are some how to directions I found online by Honestly WTF. I plan on adding a little flair for mine somehow with either stitching or studs. We shall see how this goes.

You’ll need:

8-9″ piece of leather fringe
tacky glue
2-5 inches of ball chain
1 ball chain connector
rubber band
scissors

Step 1: The leather fringe from Tandy Leather comes in a 36″ strip. Divide the strip into four 8-9″ pieces to create 4 tassels.

Step 2: From one of the fringe pieces, cut off a single fringe. Cut an inch or so off the top. Place a small drop of tacky glue in the upper right corner of the inside of the fringe piece.

Step 3: Place the longer strip on top of the glue and another drop of glue on top of that. Fold the leather strip over to create a loop. Allow to dry for a couple of minutes.

Step 4: Now start rolling around the loop tightly. Place a very small strip of glue along the top of the fringe and continue to roll.

Step 5: Finish the wrap with a small amount of glue at the very end. Wrap a rubber band around the top of the tassel until it completely finishes drying. Don’t worry if any of the glue seeps out as it will eventually dry clear.

Step 6: Thread the tassel, or tassels, onto a few inches of ball chain and add the connector to secure it.

Also here is a video of how to do this keychain.

 Happy DIY'ing <3

Flower Power

2:18:00 PM

This weekend was just full of sun so I took advantage of it and went full hippie! Everyone was out and enjoying the sun either at the pool or at the many parks nearby. I made a day of it walking around at Eastern Market, hanging by the pool and just enjoying some much need time with the girls. It was glorious and I think my outfit was 100% appropriate.

I am so ready for all this warm weather and going to the beach and all those fun summer activities! I can't wait to pack my whole summer with great getaways and some fun staycations!!

Beach Time Dreaming

2:33:00 PM

I really, really love the summer but most of all I really love going to the beach. Now because of that love I have a million bikini tops & bottoms, beach covers, and beach hats. With the warm summer weather finally here I have started my search for new bikinis for the season. These are the ones I have narrowed it down to.

What do you guys think?? Sigh if only I had all the money in the world.
