Take Me Out to the Ballgame

1:18:00 PM

Over the weekend when I was finally feeling a little better from the crazy allergy attacks I have been getting I got to go see the Nats play against the San Diego Padres. I know not everyone is really into baseball but even if you don't going to a game can still be loads of fun. I'm not too big a fan but I definitely was when my little brother was on playing from elementary all the way through high school. So I know my way around the diamond.

It was a beautiful sunny day out on Sunday with just the right amount of cool breeze coming through. You really couldn't have asked for a better day for baseball. I can't wait to bring my dogs to one of the pups in the park days at the stadium. Its going to be an amazingly fun filled Spring & Summer!

Obsessed with Stripes

3:38:00 PM

I don't think I can explain exactly my love for stripes, but OH MY do I love stripes. I love them horizontally, vertically, slanted...you name it, if its striped I'll love it. Since the outlets were having their yet again amazing sales I was able to score this awesome striped top for $15.00!! I was not about to say no to that, especially since I have been really good with my budget. Everyone deserves to treat themselves once in a while!

I may love, love my shirt, but my hair was not loving me that day. It was all over the place, falling on my face and basically wanted to do its own thing. Sometimes you just have to let it be free.

Missing Easter

3:10:00 PM

I hope everyone enjoyed their Easter because I most definitely did. Even though it was rainy part of the weekend I actually did quite a bit with my family and just in time for Sunday the weather was nothing but blue skies. Now since my family doesn't have any little ones and none of our extended family who do have little ones are nearby we didn't do much of the normal Easter activities. There was a lot of shopping (window shopping for me) going on and even got to take my little dog to the groomers where he got his first summer hair cut! It was a great weekend and I do miss it a little already.

Don't be fooled! Just because it was gorgeous outside does not mean that it was super warm. That jacket definitely came in handy when the cold winds came around.

Happy Early Easter!

8:45:00 AM

I know it isn't Easter just yet but since I will be on my way home soon to celebrate it with my family and won't be near a computer to tell you all, I am telling you now!

Soon to come...Easter outfits!! I can't wait to show everyone what I chose to wear.

Hope you all enjoy the holiday and wonderful weekend.

Woes of a Broke Shopaholic

4:03:00 PM

Yes you read that right! I am a shopaholic who is constantly finding herself to be flat broke. It is not fun when all you want to do is buy the pretty things that happen to cost more than groceries because you have good taste. Its completely not my fault that every single time I spot something adorable, EVEN in Marshalls or TJ Maxx, it happens to be like the most expensive thing in the store. Now don't get me wrong I usually try and shop with coupon codes or in the sales section to try and get the price down some, but sometimes you just have to get things when they are there because no matter the price other people will buy it and all of a sudden its sold out EVERYWHERE! Don't mind me I'm having a little heartbreak over a dress I desperately wanted and now is sold out in every store that happened to sell it.

Whether the situation of my lack of dollar bills is horrible or not too bad I usually still have a wishlist that I am desperately trying to save up for. Right now these are the things on my list!

What is on your wishlist?

Ooo La La

10:14:00 AM

I am so grateful for the beautiful weather we have been having! I actually took a walk on my lunch break and didn't have to bring a jacket with me. I was in heaven. For the first time I was gallivanting around Georgetown, Columbia Heights and the Waterfront enjoying the amazing sunshine and warmth. I was caught once or twice, skipping and twirling in my midi dress and I couldn't have cared at all because I was that happy.

I love, love that dress! I am so happy that I wanted to be Lucy from I Love Lucy for Halloween all those years ago and that my mom was more than happy to make that dress for me. It is such a versatile piece. I have thought of just making it only a skirt but what if there is that day where I want to wear it as a dress again. Decisions, decisions!

Blossom and Bloom

11:00:00 AM

With Spring having finally arrived to the little city of DC I can only fawn and drool over the gorgeous flowers and trees that are all over my neighborhood! Though it is still a little bit chilly and I feel like there are some days that are down right deceiving it is still beautiful outside. I experimented a little with lace and denim over the weekend and I liked it even if it was a little out of my comfort zone.

I don't know what kind of trees those are, but the blossoms look like huge daisies and I love them! I want them when I get a house of my own. How is Spring for the rest of you??

Singing the Blues

9:47:00 PM

It's almost Friday everyone! I don't know about you but this week has got me exhausted and all I want is a relaxing weekend. Yesterday I got to cover an event where you were encouraged to shop! A percentage of the proceeds went to UNICEF; so the more people bought at the amazing clothing store Intermix, the more funds were raised for charity. In my book that is called a win win situation. I wanted to make sure I dressed the part and went with the bohemian chic style that Intermix has been known for.

Jacket: American Eagle, Top: Tobi, Skirt: Urban Outfitters, Watch: Michael Kors, Bangles: Forever 21, Wristband: Nike

It was a great night with awesome weather. I didn't need more than that jean jacket to keep me comfortable all night. I just hope the weather keeps the steady upward in temperatures.
